Responsibilities Position is based in a hospital ultrasound department Serves patients of all ages, performing routine and specialized ultrasound exams Three 12-hour day shifts per week, with possible floating to weekends only if staff PTO is requested On-call rotation is required EPIC charting system is used and experience is required Level 1 trauma experience is required Use of ultrasound equipment including preparation of catheters, biopsy instruments, and sterile trays Responsibilities include preparing patients, performing and adapting ultrasound procedures, assessing abdominal arterial and venous systems, and assisting radiologists with biopsies Required to accurately document and process images and information in the HIS system Must maintain quality standards, coordinate patient flow, and ensure clean and stocked work areas Participation in quality assurance, control, and improvement programs is expected May assist in training and mentoring fellow technologists and students Professional demeanor and strong communication skills are necessary Dress code requires appropriate scrubs as defined by department policy RTO (requested time off) may not exceed 7 days per 13-week contract Returning employees may not work more than 1 year continuously and must have a 6-month break before returning Requirements Minimum of 1 year experience in ultrasound / sonography Associate's degree in Ultrasound / Sonography or certificate of completion from an accredited Ultrasound / Sonography program ARDMS certification and BLS from the American Heart Association required Experience with EPIC EMR required Level 1 trauma setting experience required Ability to demonstrate competency in performing ultrasound exams and procedures License required if applicable Applicants must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-624005.
