Protouch Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Pittsfield, Massachusetts.

Registered Nurse (RN) – Med Surg (Night Shift, Cardiac / Neuro)

Shift : Nights – 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 30 AM (12-hour shift)

Duration : 13 weeks

Scheduled Hours : 36 hrs / week

Position Summary

We are seeking experienced RNs for a Cardiac / Neuro Med-Surg unit night shift assignment. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to cardiac and neurological patients in a hospital setting, utilizing clinical expertise, critical thinking, and effective collaboration with the care team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care to Cardiac / Neuro Med-Surg patients with a typical 1 : 6 patient ratio .
  • Conduct patient assessments, administer medications, and implement individualized care plans.
  • Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately; telemetry experience required .
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff to ensure quality patient care and safety.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
  • Float to other units as needed.
  • Work scheduled holidays and every other weekend as required.

    • Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years of Med-Surg / Cardiac / Neuro experience
  • Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
  • Completion of a Basic Dysrhythmia course strongly preferred
  • Telemetry experience required
  • Licensed RN in Massachusetts
  • Reliable transportation for assignment
  • Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and adapt to patient care needs

    • Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) , such as Meditech Expanse
  • Previous hospital-based travel experience
  • High proficiency in cardiac and neurological patient care

    • Additional Requirements

  • COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption per hospital policy
  • Time-off requests must be submitted at profile upload (limited to ≤5 days)
  • Travelers residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible
