Principal Mechanical Systems Engineer
We are seeking a Mechanical Systems Principal Engineer who will work on the mechanical system design across
large-scale aerospace projects. This role requires collaborating closely with interdisciplinary teams and
suppliers, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. You will be responsible for driving innovation in mechanical systems to be implemented into the aircraft.
Duties :
- Responsible for the design and spatial integration of critical mechanical systems, such as electric rotating machine and electric actuations for flight control propulsion systems and flight control actuation systems, including other traditional mechanical systems (Landing Gear Systems and Door Systems, etc.),ensuring compliance with
performance and safety standards.
Mentoring and coaching a multidisciplinary ream of mechanical system engineers, ensuring development and delivery of high-quality engineering solutions.Select and manage relationships with system suppliers, ensuring the delivery of components compliant with technical requirements.Facilitate communication between internal teams, suppliers, and certification authorities, ensuring alignment on system specifications and project goals.Requirements :
Bachelors / Masters Degree in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience).18+ years of industry hands-on experience in mechanical systems developmentand testing for aerospace or related fields, in military, commercial, or business aircraft development programs.
13+ years of experience in the management of engineering teams.Familiarity with FAA and EASA certification processes.In-depth and current knowledge of Part 23 / 25 / 27 and / or 29 regulatory requirements, including system development per ARP4754A and ARP4761.Experience with all phases of aircraft development from concept to certification and entry into service.Experience with system or equipment (Hardware and Software) development per ARP-4754A, DO-254, DO-178C / DO-331.Qualification of equipment per DO-160D / E / F / G and other MIL STD.Strong understanding of mechanical system design, stress analysis, reliability, safety, integration and testing.Experience with both clean-sheet design and product improvement post-certification.Experience in electro-mechanical systems and integration of software-driven systems.Knowledge of industry standards such as ARP4754A, DO-160, and FAA / EASA certification requirements.$190,000 - $230,000 a year
