Job Summary
We are seeking a construction materials testing department manager to join our team! We are a Florida based consulting company specialized in geotechnical engineering and environmental services. As the Construction Materials Testing Department Manager, you will be responsible for developing and managing the construction materials testing business. Your essential duties will include business development and management of staff, projects, and clients. This is a leadership position, offering competitive compensation and the possibilities for profit sharing and ownership to the right candidate.
Responsibilities
Manage construction materials testing services and running the testing departmentMaximize long- and short-term profits for the departmentManages field technician's and inspector's daily tasksMeet with various clients and solicit businessSupervises hires, terminates, evaluates, and mentors employeesQuotes costs and fees to clientsPrepare proposals and reportsManages office personnel, including reporting and invoicingCoordinates personnel and equipment within the departmentAssisting on geotechnical engineering assignmentsOther duties may be assignedQualifications
8 to 10 years of experience in CMT services in the local marketExperience with Geotechnical EngineeringExperienced in the business side of construction materials testingProfessional Engineer (PE) license in Florida is a strong plus, but not required
