Job Description
We are seeking a Deputy Plant Manager to join a client in McKinney. This person is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the plant to ensure production goals are met while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and cost efficiency. This role involves managing staff, coordinating cross-functional departments, maintaining equipment, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Success in this position requires strong leadership, technical proficiency, and analytical thinking to drive operational excellence and plant profitability.
Key Responsibilities :
Leadership & Team Management :
- Recruit, train, and develop new team members.
- Supervise and schedule team activities to meet operational goals.
- Conduct timely and constructive performance evaluations.
- Manage disciplinary actions and terminations in accordance with company policies.
Production & Operational Oversight :
Develop and monitor production schedules to ensure timely product delivery.Implement strategies to improve plant performance and reduce operational costs.Drive continuous improvement initiatives across departments.Quality Assurance :
Ensure production processes comply with quality standards and product specifications.Support ongoing efforts to enhance product reliability and consistency.Health, Safety & Compliance :
Enforce workplace health, safety, and environmental policies.Promote a culture of safety and ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements.Maintenance & Asset Utilization :
Oversee the maintenance and optimal use of all plant equipment and assets.Coordinate preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime.Financial & Analytical Management :
Prepare and analyze performance reports to identify inefficiencies and opportunities.Develop and manage department budgets to stay within financial targets.Strategic & Technical Leadership :
Contribute to long-term strategic planning to meet business objectives.Provide technical support and guidance across manufacturing processes.Leverage data to drive operational improvements and informed decision-making.Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred.Minimum of 3-5 years of supervisory experience in an AI or technology-based manufacturing environment.Proven background in managing manufacturing operations, production planning, and team leadership.Essential Skills :
