Job Details

  • Registered Nurse position in Post Partum / MedSurg specialty.
  • Facility Department / Cost Center : 5460 (660) OB / PP.
  • Role : Registered Nurse.
  • Number of Openings : 1.
  • Post partum preferred skill set, then Pediatrics and clean female surgery overflow patients (Gyn, Breast, etc).
  • Must have skills / experience include assessing post-partum maternal health, assisting with breastfeeding, monitoring vital signs and signs of complications, managing postpartum complications, administering medications, teaching new parents essential newborn and maternal care, assisting with pain management and healing after normal delivery or C-section, conducting physical and psychosocial assessments of the mother, providing emotional support and addressing psychosocial needs.
  • Post-Partum Experience required.
  • Preferred skillset : Experience in Couplet Care desired.
  • Common diagnosis / treatment includes bowel obstruction, hip fracture, cholelithiasis, appendicitis, post partum care.
  • Professional, team player personality fit.

    • Job Requirements

  • Required certifications : ACLS, AWHONN, BLS, HWC, NRP, PALS.
  • Certification / Licensure required to work as an RN in Tennessee.
  • Must be checked against the Tennessee Abuse Registry prior to assignment start date with results required prior to start.
  • 1+ years of experience.

    • Schedule Information

  • Weekly guaranteed hours : 36.
  • Weekend hours : Every Other / As Needed.
  • Call requirements : As Needed.
  • Float requirements : As Needed.
  • Orientation is bi-weekly on Mondays.
