M-F 8-5pm
JOB SUMMARY
The Indirect Tax Analyst is responsible for managing the daily tax hold queue to ensure the accurate determination of taxability on procurement transactions. This role requires strong technical knowledge of sales and use tax, analytical decision-making, and attention to detail. The analyst will review and approve transactions on tax hold, identify vendor behavior, and support compliance initiatives through collaboration with internal teams and vendors.
Additional responsibilities include assisting with commodity code cleanup, supporting tax technology migrations (such as Vertex), and maintaining process documentation. The analyst will report directly to the Manager of Tax Reporting.
JOB FUNCTIONS
Key Responsibilities :
Manage and approve the daily tax hold queue to determine taxability
Identify vendor behavior and assist with the trusted vendor process
Support commodity code cleanup and multi-point-of-use projects related to tax technology migrations
Assist with monthly internal consumption calculations
Maintain and update process changes and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
QUALIFICATIONS
Education :
High School Diploma / GED or equivalent experience required
Associate degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus
Work Experience :
Sales tax experience or indirect procurement experience required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) :
SAP experience is a plus
Experience with Vertex is a plus
Strong project management and documentation skills
