Disbursement Clerk

The Disbursement Clerk will assist in the processing of payments and collection of lien waivers for construction projects disbursed by Old Republic.

This position requires daily in-office attendance in the St Louis, MO office. Not open to remote applicants.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Set up new projects in our proprietary computer system.
  • Submit requests for funds for disbursing projects.
  • Notify payees of pending payments and the posting of payments for various construction projects.
  • Process mail and release payments.
  • Assist customers with questions regarding the payment process.
  • Direct contact with customers, payees, and lenders including answering phones, emails and assisting in office.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Knowledge and Skills Required :

  • Basic computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment while successfully performing under extreme time constraints and meet prescribed deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects.
  • Ability to work with confidential information.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and be flexible with disruptions throughout the workday is required.
  • Ability to act independently with sound judgment and take initiative.
  • Written and verbal communications are clear, grammatically correct and business appropriate.
  • Actively listens. Is mindful of how body language, gestures and nonverbal communications are perceived.
  • Ability to work 8 : 30am-5 : 00pm Monday through Friday.
  • Ability to foster, develop and maintain professional and collaborative working relationships.
  • Ability to work overtime as requested and approved by supervisor when needed.

    • Physical / Mental Demands :

  • Repetitive and continual keyboard activity and interaction with display monitors is required.

    • Sedentary work : The majority of activity in this position involves sedentary work including sitting, standing, walking and the occasional need to lift or move objects.
