Production Planner I
SNC's Military Fellowship Program partners with programs such as SkillBridge and Hiring Our Heroes to provide fellowship opportunities to service members transitioning to the civilian workforce. These fellowships include up to six months of on-the-job industry training for eligible service members. During this time, participants gain valuable work experience in the civilian sector and build professional networks as they prepare for their transition to full-time civilian work. NOTE : You must be currently serving on active duty to be eligible for this fellowship program. This program is not for veterans who have already separated from the military.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Material Planner to join our team, playing a critical role in managing the flow of materials throughout the product lifecycle. Key responsibilities include conducting comprehensive MBOM (Manufacturing Bill of Materials) reviews and maintaining strict revision control within the ERP system, managing the creation and processing of sales orders, manufacturing orders, and purchase requisitions / purchase orders, allocating raw and finished goods to meet production and delivery schedules, and monitoring material levels to prevent shortages and scheduling delays.
As a Production Planner I, you will play a crucial role in our manufacturing operations by developing and managing detailed work instructions that guide the production process. You will collaborate with engineering, quality control, and production teams to translate engineering designs into executable instructions within our Manufacturing Execution System (MES). This role is essential for maintaining production efficiency, ensuring product quality, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Key responsibilities include creating and maintaining detailed Manufacturing Bills of Materials (MBOM) for process plans and manufacturing orders, ensuring logical sequencing, and implementing manufacturing part numbers from the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system, aligning with design and production requirements. You will also update routings in the ERP system to reflect efficient and cost-effective production processes, generate detailed process plans and work instructions in the MES to guide production activities, handle production scheduling, work center scheduling, and manage in-process manufacturing orders.
Collaborate with program management, design engineers, quality, and production teams to develop efficient and high-quality production methods, research, design, develop, test, certify, deploy, and improve products to meet customer needs and market demands. Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production processes, reduce waste, and increase efficiency. Maintain accurate records of production activities, including MBOMs, process plans, work instructions, and schedule changes, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
