Job Title : Regional Safety Supervisor Duration : Permanent, Full-Time Salary : $90,000-$95,000 Annually DOE US Citizenship Required. This position is responsible for the overall management, oversite, and implementation of company safety programs within their designated site and / or region. This critical role ensures safety is at the forefront of our culture at SQUAN and works to protect employee health and safety. This field-based position is responsible for traveling to job sites in their region verifying compliance as well as coaching behaviors.
Essential Job Functions :
Support, foster, promote, and demonstrate SQUAN's Core Values
Monitor and ensure the safety of in-house employees and subcontractor crews by conducting regular safety observations and audits, identifying potential hazards, and implementing corrective actions as needed
Promptly report and document safety incidents, near misses, and hazards according to established protocols. Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to address and rectify safety concerns
Conduct investigations and root cause analysis of incidents in conjunction with line and staff personnel
Utilize the designated Safety Inspection app to record and track daily safety measures, inspections, and compliance checks. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records
Plan and conduct safety meetings to educate employees about safety protocols, best practices, and relevant regulations. Encourage a culture of safety awareness and engagement
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that safety measures are integrated seamlessly into project planning, execution, and completion
Ensure adherence to OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and industry standards. Provide guidance to team members on compliance matters
Assist in the development and implementation of emergency response plans and procedures. Provide guidance during emergency situations to minimize risks and ensure a safe response
Contribute to the enhancement of safety protocols by providing feedback, suggesting improvements, and participating in safety-related initiatives
Utilize a strong understanding of work zone setup and flagging procedures to ensure Federal, State and local regulations are followed by in-house and subcontractor crews
Maintain working knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental, health, safety, and security regulations
Assist in the distribution and tracking of PPE and safety equipment
Coach and mentor employees and contractors to correct unsafe behaviors and conditions
Conduct safety training for new and existing employees to comply with OSHA and industry regulations
Be aware of new or changing regulations that may impact company operations
Ability to travel in-region and be open to travel to other regions to provide support
Be a core member and contributor to the operations management team of the deployment centers in your region

Minimum Requirements
OSHA 30 Certification required or equivalent industry experience
Five years of professional safety experience in the construction or utility industry
Familiarity with DOT compliance
Valid Driver's license
Preferred Requirements.
Bilingual in Spanish and English
Professional Safety Certifications (ASP, CSP, CUSP, COHST, etc.)
