Travel Nursing Job Details

Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse (L&D RN)

Location : North Chesterfield, VA 23235 (Richmond area nursing jobs)

Unit : Maternal Infant Unit (3rd Floor, Atrium Building)

Start Date : September 15, 2025

End Date : December 15, 2025

Duration : 13-week contract

Shift : 12-hour nights (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM)

Hours per Week : 36

Weekend / On Call : Every third weekend; 12 hours of call per 4-week schedule

Dress Code : Navy blue scrubs; MIU nurses wear pink badges for infant security

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1570–$1680 per week

L&D Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Virginia or compact state

Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience (2+ years preferred)

BLS (Basic Life Support) certification

ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification

NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification

AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification

Experience with GE fetal monitors and EMR systems (Meditech, CPN) preferred

L&D RN Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive nursing care to laboring and antepartum patients, as well as newborns

Assist with vaginal deliveries and C-section procedures

Provide post-partum and newborn care in a clinical setting

Collaborate with labor nurses, nursery nurses, OB techs, and unit leadership to ensure quality patient outcomes

Maintain patient safety and adhere to infant security protocols

Accurately document patient care using electronic medical records (EMR)

Participate in on-call rotations and weekend coverage as required
