As the Senior Production Supervisor, you'll be responsible for overseeing the Filling and Packaging operations, ensuring that all manufacturing activities meet or exceed performance expectations. You'll play a critical role in maintaining personnel safety, product quality, and production efficiency across your area of responsibility. In this leadership role, you'll be expected to operate with minimal direction from your manager and serve as a subject matter expert in delivering key performance metrics. You'll also be accountable for fostering a culture of continuous improvement, working with your Front-Line Leaders (FLLs) to train and develop team members and ensuring alignment with organizational standards and leadership expectations.
WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON
Collaborate with cross-functional subject matter experts, peers and Site Leadership Team.Play a lead role during audits and site visits for internal to Abbott and external resources as required.Ensure delivery of area key performance metrics through coaching and direction of FLLs and team membersPreparation and active participation in internal and external audits, incident investigation and reporting, timely implementation of thorough and effective corrective and preventative actions.Initiate, manage, and make decisions which impact product quality and the compliance profile of the department.Model and promote a thorough understanding of what drives product costs, profitability, and cash flow within the department, while operating within fiscal constraints, material utilization and Cost Improvement Program (CIP) goals.Partner to establish key performance measures; track, trend and continuously improve on these key performance measures by setting / achievement of goals such as OEE, labor, downtime, units / hour, pounds / hour, CIP, and material usage.Accountable for department budgetary decisions.Model and drive continuous improvement culture utilizing operational excellence and common tools (e.g. Six Sigma, Lean, Root Cause Analysis (RCA)) and methodologies in processes and procedures within the department.Assist Operations Manager in the development of strategic and tactical goal development for the department and teams that align with business site strategies and goals. Lead the development of goal setting for the team.Establish a communications framework that assures timely and relevant transfer of information to and from all levels and functional areas of the organization.Understand and effectively use the rewards and recognition programs. Champion positive employee relations by maintaining a high-profile presence on the floor, direct engagement with employees, regular open communications and encouraging knowledge sharing and open exchange of ideas.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in business, science, food technology or engineering7+ years' experience in manufacturing leadership roleKnowledge of applicable regulatory standards and requirements for nutritional products2+ years' experience in strategic planning & execution2+ years' experience in process control managementExperience in leading organizational change projectsExperience in finance and budgetary managementPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Advanced degree in business, science, food technology or engineeringBlack Belt certificationProject Management CertificationThe base pay for this position is $97,300.00 $194,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
