Job Description : The Podiatrist will provide direct patient care, which includes : - Conducting comprehensive medical and social histories.- Performing thorough physical examinations.- Ordering and interpreting laboratory and screening tests.- Evaluating lab reports, x-rays, and consultation records, and communicating treatment plans to patients.- Making independent decisions on patient management, prescribing medications, and performing therapeutic or corrective measures.- Providing health maintenance, promotion, illness prevention, and illness management counseling.- Making appropriate referrals to specialists and consulting with other healthcare team members as needed.- Complying with infection control and safety procedures.- Accurately documenting patient notes in the electronic medical records system.- Performing job activities respectfully and courteously while interacting with patients, visitors, and coworkers.- Performing other duties as delegated.
