How You’ll Make an Impact

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Coordinator to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for accurately processing payroll for our employees in Washington. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with ADP payroll systems and is confident managing payroll functions with minimal oversight. What you’ll be doing as a Payroll Coordinator :

  • Working a Full-time, onsite position at our Fife, WA location.
  • Process and review weekly payroll for all hourly and salaried employees using ADP Workforce Now.
  • Ensure payroll accuracy by verifying hours, earnings, deductions, bonuses, and adjustments.
  • Manage payroll compliance, with a strong understanding of Washington wage and hour laws, overtime rules, and state / local tax regulations. Knowledge of California laws and regulations would be preferred, but not required, to assist with payroll processors at our other divisions.
  • Maintain payroll records and ensure timely updates to employee data, tax information, and direct deposits.
  • Collaborate with HR and Accounting to reconcile payroll data, benefit deductions, and general ledger entries.
  • Respond promptly to employee payroll inquiries with professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Support quarterly and year-end activities including W-2s, tax filings, and audits.
  • Stay current with payroll-related laws and ADP system enhancements to ensure continued compliance and efficiency.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications (Education, skills, and experience) :

  • 3+ years of payroll processing experience in a manufacturing or similar environment required.
  • Strong proficiency with ADP (Workforce Now preferred) required.
  • Experience processing payroll following Washington laws and regulations.
  • In-depth knowledge of payroll laws, wage and hour compliance, and tax regulations.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple deadlines, and maintain accuracy under pressure.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable working with large data sets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a commitment to confidentiality
  • Preferred Qualifications (Education, skills, and experience) :

  • Experience processing payroll following California laws and regulations.
  • Experience supporting both hourly (non-exempt) and salaried (exempt) employee groups.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing timekeeping systems and shift differentials.
  • Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) or Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred.

  • Work Environment :

    A large percentage of work time is spent in a machine shop where temperatures vary from hot to cold. The environment may also include exposure to noise, dust, fumes, vapor from coolant, etc. Industry standard safety equipment is provided by the Company, and specific notice is posted in areas where safety equipment is required.

    Compensation and Benefits :

    Employee Benefits : Medical, dental, vision, basic and supplemental life insurance, long-term disability and 401(k) with up to 6% QACA company match.

    The Payroll Coordinator Compensation range  for onsite Washington applicants is $28-$32 / hour commensurate with experience. Some shifts may include shift differential pay rates. Other site ranges may differ.
