SUMMARY : The Blue Printer is responsible for creating a detailed repair plan that outlines estimated costs, required parts, and specific repair procedures. This role collaborates closely with technicians and customers to ensure a smooth and transparent repair process. Blue Printers also serve as customer advocates by negotiating with insurance adjusters to secure fair and accurate claim settlements.
Location : Three C Body shop in Columbus, OH
Responsibilities
- Oversee and verify the complete disassembly of vehicles scheduled for repair.
- Assign work orders to technicians based on workload and expertise.
- Review the Estimate of Record (EOR) with technicians following vehicle disassembly.
- Ensure estimators review repairs for insurance compliance prior to CCC submission.
- Provide repair progress updates to estimators to facilitate accurate customer communication (e.g., delays, early completions).
- Input work orders into CCC, along with supporting photos.
- Lead daily production meetings to align teams and maintain workflow efficiency across the shop.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation while assessing and recording vehicle damage.
- Prepare comprehensive estimates that factor in parts pricing, repair procedures, and labor costs.
- Supervise technicians to ensure repairs are performed according to the estimate and quality standards.
- Adhere to all industry regulations; stay informed on evolving insurance policies that impact repairs.
- Work collaboratively with insurance adjusters to negotiate settlements within policy guidelines.
