Join to apply for the Multi-Unit Team Leader Hrly role at H&R Block
This role is not remote and requires in-person work. You will start a flexible part-time schedule in the fall to prepare for the busy tax season and transition to full-time from January to April, including evening and weekend hours as needed.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership over three H&R Block tax offices and lead customer-centric teams to accelerate seasonal tax business.
- Serve as the front-line manager responsible for leadership and development of associates, delivering an outstanding client experience, and achieving office-related growth objectives for three offices.
- Lead daily team meetings, communicate essential information to tax office associates, and manage associate work schedules across all offices with accurate timekeeping.
- Travel between offices as required; prepare tax returns as needed after completing the Income Tax Course or Tax Knowledge Assessment.
What you'll bring to the team
Manage office staffing, operations, and logistics for multiple offices with support from Associate Team Leaders.Partner with the District General Manager (DGM) to create and implement office-level growth plans and client growth targets, including developing local partnerships and managing office community involvement.Assist DGM in recruiting and interviewing candidates for tax office positions.Conduct timely performance reviews and address performance concerns with the Associate Relations Center.Build an engaging team environment across offices by training and coaching associates and recognizing outstanding contributions.Travel between offices as required.Prepare tax returns as needed, upon successful completion of required tax training.Your Expertise
People management experience with ability to grow and develop associates.Ability to execute growth plans and lead toward a growth culture.Strong decision-making, judgment, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-centric mindset.Computer proficiency with MS Office.Bachelor's degree in a related field, or high school diploma with relevant experience.Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course (if preparing tax returns).Why work for us
