  • Location : Wilkes Barre, PA 18764 (Northeastern Pennsylvania)\n
  • Start Date : October 27, 2025\n
  • End Date : January 26, 2026\n
  • Contract Duration : 13 weeks\n
  • Shift : 12-hour days (7 : 00 AM – 7 : 00 PM), every other weekend and holiday\n
  • Hours per Week : 36\n
  • Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1680 - $1800\n
  • Unit : General Med / Surg, Post-Op Surgical, Bariatrics, Oncology\n
  • Facility Size : 352 beds\n
  • Unit Size : 21 beds\n

    • \n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n \n

  • Active RN license (Pennsylvania nursing license preferred)\n
  • 1-2 years of recent Med / Surg nursing experience required\n
  • Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience in a hospital setting\n
  • BLS certification (American Heart Association)\n
  • Tele experience required\n
  • Ability to float to MS Tele unit as needed (patient ratio 1 : 6)\n
  • Cerner EMR experience preferred\n

    • \n\nMed / Surg RN Responsibilities\n \n

  • Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a busy Med / Surg unit\n
  • Care for general medical, post-operative, bariatric, and oncology patients\n
  • Perform remote telemetry monitoring with support from monitor techs\n
  • Administer medications, monitor patient status, and document care using Cerner EMR\n
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes\n
  • Float to MS Tele unit and adapt to surge plans (patient ratio up to 1 : 7)\n
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures\n
