HVAC Installers & Service Technicians (Residential & Commercial)

As an HVAC Installer / Service Technician you'll be responsible for installing, maintaining, and supporting HVAC systems with a focus on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. This includes working independently, supervising apprentices, and providing top-notch customer service.

HVAC Installer & Service Technician Responsibilities :

  • Install ductwork, piping, vent systems, and residential or commercial HVAC equipment (furnaces, water heaters, generators, etc.)
  • Perform start-up, testing, and commissioning of systems, including setting up drain lines, thermostats, refrigerant piping, zoning, and Bluetooth systems
  • Execute rough-in installations, including ductwork and start / test requirements
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and service HVAC systems to ensure optimal operation
  • Work in various conditions and adhere to safety standards
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervise apprentices when needed
  • Manage inspections, client payments, and uphold service quality standards

HVAC Installer & Service Technician Qualifications :

  • 1+ year experience in HVAC installation, service, or related fields (Commercial or Residential)
  • EPA certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and physical ability to work in confined spaces and extreme conditions
  • Personal tools (refer to our tool list)
  • Willingness to work on-call Saturdays once a month (scheduled in advance)

    • Preferred Certifications for Advancement :

  • CSST Certification
  • AWP (Aerial Work Platforms) Certification

    • Salary : $30 - $42

    Entry-Level & Apprentice Opportunities

    Position Overview :

    As an HVAC apprentice you will assist experienced technicians and support staff in installations, maintenance, and service tasks

    HVAC Apprentice Responsibilities :

  • Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, including cleaning coils, changing filters, and replacing fan motor belts.
  • Inspect and replace electrical and mechanical components such as worn contactors and weak capacitors.
  • Complete preventative maintenance forms and advise customers on next steps.
  • Produce onsite repair quotes using Service Titan Software.
  • Assist the service department with repairs that require two technicians due to weight, size, location, or complexity.

    • HVAC Apprentice Qualifications :

  • 1 – 4 years experience in residential and / or commercial HVAC
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Punctual, professional appearance (uniforms provided)
  • Ability to climb ladders, operate basic tools, and follow instructions
  • Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and excellent communication skills
  • Starter tool set (including higher-end tools)
  • Certifications such as Powder Gun and AWP are preferred but not required
