Applying for a part-time teaching appointment in journalism would add the applicant to a pool which is available to the departmental search committee for consideration in case the need arises.

The Schieffer College celebrates the 10th anniversary of its naming for Bob Schieffer. The college is the academic home for four departments : Communication Studies; Film, Television and Digital Media; Journalism; and Strategic Communication. It has about 1,250 undergraduate majors and about 30 graduate students. Faculty include about 60 full-time and 15 part-time members. The college offers experiential learning activities including print, video and digital news media, a speech and debate team, an advertising and public relations agency, a radio station, and sports broadcasting productions. The college also offers off-campus study options.
