Systems Engineer - Intermediate - JLS242 (1442498) -(QTWC -Quality Total Warranty Cost)
Base pay range : $45.00 / hr - $45.50 / hr
Responsibilities
- Manage Quality Total Warranty Cost cross functional task force teams, create priorities, action plans and track progress, align and update initiatives list
- First responder to Component Quality Analysis Team New Emerging Issue alerts
- Interact with DSE, MFG and DRE to develop the next steps plan, document the plan to the team
- Coordinate any next steps and track progress working side by side with DSE / DRE setting up plans or tests needed
- Update status and results into GIMS, Quality Initiatives documents and QEC teardown results database
- Owns the development of the Applications Matrix including all interface requirements for given programs including all variants and various vehicle platforms
- Coordinate packaging studies with each vehicle application to ensure all clearance requirements are met. Lead advanced vehicle adaptation designs studies and freezes
- Update and coordinate approvals of International Product Spec releases
- Update and coordinate approvals of owners manuals
- Update and coordinate approvals of CP, Compliance Report Standards
- Negotiate requirements with vehicle platforms based on product limitations and capabilities
- Owns the Transmission Technical Specifications (TTS) and communicates application specific requirements to the team (e.g. max torque, NVH, FE, tire size, FDR selection, mass, etc)
- Define and track adherence to robust vehicle level and system level / sub-system functional objectives
- Coordinate external design changes that require platform approval. Perform TOS as required
- Develop, manage & communicate external issues and change management
- Review and approve the Application Checklist for each CN
- Coordinate application specific designs (torque converter, dampers, vents, LV & HV wire connections, bracket attachments, trans oil cooling, PIM and e-motor integration, etc) including controls & calibration strategies
- Represent chief organization on vehicle assembly plant requirements & events (i.e. supports pilot builds, EOL test, VIN marking, build issues, etc.). Development Manager leads vehicle assembly issues. AE supports.
- Coordinate COE assessments of bulletins and AT engineering response to bulletins
- Manage prototype hardware procurements and ED&D reqs
- Manage BRT (Build Readiness Team) for prototype orders
- Lead for shipping & receiving parts / transmissions for builds to / from suppliers
Requirements
