Bunker (Heritage Hospitality), located in The Duncan in Near West Side, is looking to hire a part-time bartender .
Responsibilities
- Serve a selection of cocktails, spirits, beer, seltzer, cider, wine, non-alcoholic, & food options in accordance with Heritage Hospitality’s standards and recipes.
- Maintain a complete understanding of all offerings.
- Manage flow of guests in the work area.
- Check identification of guests to verify legal drinking age.
- Entering items into Square point-of-sale system.
- Cash & card handling.
- Ensure a clean & organized work area.
- Monitor, stock, and communicate needs of product inventory.
- Opening & closing of work area.
- Perform side work as needed.
Requirements
At least 1 year experience working as a bartender in a cocktail-focused environment is required.Understanding of cocktail development, classic cocktails, spirit categories, beer styles, seltzer, cider, wine varietals, and non-alcoholic offerings.Able to comfortably be on feet for the duration of the shift.Able to reach, bend, and comfortably lift up to 55 lbs. Moving of kegs and other heavy objects will be required as well with as needed assistance.Must demonstrate strong communication, professionalism, reliability, honesty, and integrity.Must be comfortable working solo & as a team in the work area.Must be at least 21 years of age.Must possess a valid BASSET & Food Handler certification.Must be able to communicate and write in English. Spanish is a plus.Compensation
