Position Summary

The IT Systems Engineer is a critical member of the DWIHN IT Operations team, responsible for designing, supporting, and maintaining secure and resilient enterprise IT infrastructure. This includes Microsoft-based environments, network architecture, virtualization platforms, and cybersecurity systems.

This role serves a government-regulated healthcare organization, requiring strict adherence to HIPAA, SOC 2, and NIST-based security frameworks. The engineer will provide technical leadership in systems design, incident response, disaster recovery, and ongoing infrastructure improvements.

Key Responsibilities

Systems Engineering & Administration

• Design, implement, and support enterprise infrastructure including Windows Server 2012-2022 , Active Directory , Azure Entra ID , Office 365 , and virtualization platforms.
• Administer and maintain SQL servers , network storage (SAN / NAS) , and critical business applications.
• Develop baselines and technical standards for on-prem and cloud-based systems.
• Maintain group policy, Entra ID, Intune, and other user access controls , and role-based security in alignment with HIPAA and internal standards.
• Monitor system health, conduct performance tuning, apply patches, and coordinate lifecycle upgrades.

Required Qualifications

Education :

Experience :

Microsoft ecosystem (Azure, O365, Windows Server, Group Policy)
