The Registered Occupational Therapist provides evaluation and treatment for individuals with physical or cognitive impairments that limit their ability to perform daily activities. This role requires compassionate care and a commitment to improving patient outcomes across all age groups, from newborns to geriatrics.
Essential Responsibilities
- Adhere to organizational mission, vision, and values while maintaining patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Maintain professional communication and collaborative relationships with patients, families, healthcare teams, and external agencies.
- Practice within the scope defined by the licensing board and demonstrate competency in occupational therapy care.
- Conduct thorough patient evaluations and develop, implement, and review individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic interventions and health management.
- Complete accurate and timely documentation according to policy standards.
- Provide clinical guidance to Occupational Therapy Assistants.

Education and Experience
Education meeting licensure requirements at the time of issuance.Preferred : Previous experience in a similar clinical environment.Licenses and Certifications
Current Occupational Therapy licensure through the appropriate state board.Current BLS / CPR certification from an approved provider within 30 days of hire or by the end of orientation.Driver's license and auto insurance as required if the position involves driving.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong understanding of occupational therapy principles and practices.Effective communication skills with patients and interdisciplinary teams.Basic computer proficiency.Physical Requirements
Medium work involving occasional lifting up to 50 lbs and frequent standing or walking for 26-50% of the workday.
