American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with MA licensure and expertise in neuro, ortho trauma, and kidney transplant procedures.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Position is located in the OR West unit of a hospital setting with 10 operating roomsCare is primarily for inpatient Level I trauma surgery including bariatric, neurosurgery, ENT, orthopedic trauma, spine, plastic reconstruction, robotic surgery, and kidney and liver transplantsShift is 10-hour days, 7 : 00 am to 5 : 30 pm, with up to two weekends per month required, which may involve call or working shiftsOn-call required with a 30-minute response time and a short call shift once a week (either 3 : 00 am to 7 : 00 am or 5 : 00 pm to 9 : 00 pm)Primary location is West Main campus but may float to East or CVI OR as neededEligible to work holidays during the assignmentResponsibilities include both scrubbing and circulating for a broad range of complex surgical proceduresTeam supports high acuity trauma and transplant patients in a fast-paced environmentOrientation is provided weekly every Monday, except holidaysPass / fail testing for Tele / ECG and medication administration may be requiredAll requested time off must be approved at submissionParking fees may be up to $43 per dayFirst-time travelers will be considered\n \n Requirements\n
Active MA RN license required at time of considerationExperience in scrubbing and / or circulating for general surgery, robotics, transplants, ortho, neuro, spine, ENT (primarily head & neck), GYN, urology, organ procurement, and trauma casesRecent experience with neuro, ortho trauma, and kidney transplant procedures requiredCOVID-19 vaccine with booster and flu vaccine required, with medical exemptions allowedMust not reside within 50 miles of the facility (no local candidates accepted)Must not have been employed (perm, per diem, travel) at any facility in the health system within the past six months\n Benefits\n
