Job Details

Key Responsibilities and Duties :

Oversee preparation and review of federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and corporations

Advise clients on estate planning, wills, trusts, and estate law matters

Ensure compliance with SOX regulations, GAAP, and applicable tax laws

Manage and review tax implications of mergers & acquisitions, including due diligence

Conduct audits and ensure accuracy of financial reporting and regulatory compliance

Prepare and interpret detailed financial reports for stakeholders

Perform reconciliations including balance sheet and general ledger accounting

Collaborate with internal teams and clients to develop tax-efficient strategies

Utilize tax / accounting software such as CCH Axcess, Engagement, etc.

Qualifications Needed :

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA required or in-progress

Minimum 6–10 years of accounting / tax experience in public accounting

Strong background in tax accounting, compliance, and reporting

Experience in estate planning, wills, trusts, and M&A tax matters

Proven ability to manage audits, regulatory reporting, and GAAP compliance

Proficiency with accounting / tax software and financial report preparation

Excellent analytical, communication, and client advisory skills
