Purchasing Agent

About Us Security Locknut LLC is a manufacturer of high-performance locknuts serving the bolted joint industry worldwide.

We are a small but fast-paced company where teamwork, accuracy, and reliability are essential.

We’re looking for a detail-oriented Purchasing Agent to manage our procurement and inventory functions and support continued growth.

Responsibilities Manage purchasing of raw materials, components, and consumables to support efficient workflow.

Maintain and develop strong vendor relationships, including price negotiations and performance tracking.

Coordinate outsourced services and ensure timely deliveries.

Monitor and manage raw material and finished goods inventory levels.

Ensure receipt and accuracy of material certifications and compliance documentation.

Assist with system setup, process improvements, and modifications to purchasing and inventory systems.

Provide input for product costing and end-product pricing.

Contribute to annual budgets and cost-control initiatives.

Collaborate across departments (production, engineering, quality, finance) to support business needs.

Qualifications 3+ years of purchasing or supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment (fastener or metalworking industry a plus).

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Outlook, Teams).

Experience with QuickBooks Enterprise or similar ERP / MRP systems strongly preferred.

Ability to analyze data, track costs, and support accurate pricing models.

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with vendors and internal teams.   What We Offer Competitive salary based on experience.
