What You Will Do :

• Provide business and technical direction to the team in the design and adaptation of capital projects on the LP system to ensure alignment between philosophies, goals and outcomes
• Ensure organizational objectives are translated into the team’s activities and ensures integration with the work of other internal and external partners
• Represent the team and the enterprise on external task forces, partner working groups and with regulators and / or with the public and local / provincial authorities
• provides technical leadership to a team of engineering professionals who provide a variety of engineering related services to assigned internal client groups for pipeline project planning, development, construction and maintenance activities
• Oversees technical processes and solutions with regards to assessing, monitoring, reporting and implementing design and construction engineering
• Leads the development of the project scope, schedule, capital cost estimate, execution planning, risks and supporting information related to assigned projects, etc.
• Ensures that development project scope definitions comply with all regulatory, environmental, health and safety requirements through effective management and coordination of internal functional groups
• Coaches and mentors other engineers, contractors and stakeholders in the fulfillment of responsibilities
• Participates on internal and external technical committees, e.g., industry task forces, partner working groups
