$61,000.00 / yr - $80,000.00 / yr
Responsibilities
- Content Knowledge and Planning - Demonstrate a thorough understanding of subject matter and develop clear, logical, and sequential lesson plans. Collaborate with appropriate specialists to differentiate instruction and meet the needs of all students.
- Instructional Strategies - Link present content and skills with prior and future learning experiences. Use various instructional strategies—such as modeling, cooperative learning, and integrating reading and writing into the content areas—to engage all students. Maximize learning by providing opportunities for active participation.
- Academic Assessment - Utilize diverse assessments to monitor and adjust instruction as needed. Organize and maintain records of student progress to support effective instructional decisions and demonstrate proficiency in grading, ranking, and scoring practices to record and report student achievement.
- Student Communication and Rapport - Use precise language, clear learning goals, and effective oral and written communication to connect with students. Model caring, fairness, respect, and active listening, fostering students' emotional and physical well-being and promoting positive interactions across all school settings.
- Classroom Management - Enforce the school's student behavior policy, clearly communicate behavioral expectations to students and parents, and provide constructive feedback to support positive student behavior.
- Professional Demeanor and Development - Interact ethically and professionally with colleagues and students. Select appropriate channels for resolving issues while maintaining confidentiality, complete all assignments and responsibilities in a timely and effective manner, and participate in professional growth activities, such as workshops, conferences, coursework, or professional organizations.
- School Community and Culture - Maintain proactive communication with parents or guardians regarding student progress or issues, promptly respond to parental concerns, encourage parental involvement in school activities, and provide useful information to parents and the community about the school.
