A leading Michigan-based, full-service law firm with over 180 attorneys and six offices is looking for a full-time Legal Billing Coordinator to join their Accounting & Finance team in Grand Rapids.

In this important role, you'll help keep the billing operations accurate, timely, and efficient—directly contributing to both client satisfaction and the firm's financial success. Our client is seeking someone who thrives working independently but also collaborates well within a team.

Responsibilities

  • Review and revise prebills. Finalize client invoices in collaboration with attorneys and legal assistants.
  • Coordinate client invoicing and eBilling through various client systems while understanding the firm's client processes and guidelines.
  • Respond to billing-related inquiries in a timely, professional manner.
  • Coordinate eBilling submissions and troubleshoot submission issues.
  • Maintain accurate billing records and ensure adherence to client billing guidelines.
  • Heavily focused on providing full-cycle billing support to the finance side of the firm.

Education And Requirements

  • Associate's degree in business or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in a professional services or law firm setting preferred.
  • Prior billing experience required (legal billing a plus).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience with Aderant Expert Legal Billing and eBilling platforms strongly preferred.
  • A self-starter who thrives both independently and as part of a team.
