Primary Position Objective
Promotes and coordinates the on-center Advanced Training (AT) program at North Texas Job Corps while also assisting students with other campuses AT programs. Deliver information to all staff and students, recruit students to ensure program capacity, and provide support services to concurrent enrolled students to ensure all OMS goals and student achievement certificates and degrees are met.
Brief Description of Duties
- Provides support services to all enrolled AT students
- Acts as a liaison between the center and the concurrent enrollment provider.
- Submits all AT students' daily attendance each week to the student records department.
- Maintains students AT folders to include application, progress reports, class schedules and grades.
- Coordinates with concurrent enrollment provider to ensure that evaluations are submitted for each ESP timely.
- Ensures all AT students meet PRH established attendance and performance criteria.
- Provides regular feedback to students regarding appropriate employability skills and mastery of Career Success Standards.
- Attend recruiting opportunities off-center
- Host NTJC AT webex AT recruiting meetings.
- Arrange for and attend (with interested students) other JC campus AT webex meetings.
- Assist students with AT applications, including working with other departments to meet the application deadlines.
- Promote other JC campus AT programs monthly.
- Work with instructors and counselors to meet a determined monthly AT transfer goal.
- Works toward meeting Outcome Measurement System goals.
- Conducts AT screening committee to determine applicant eligibility.
- Assists approved applicants in applying for acceptance of WIOA funding.
- Monitors students' attendance and progress.
- Conducts weekly observations at the training provider.
- Follows the CDSS plan and Code of Conduct system daily.
- Assists with quarterly graduation exercises.
- Complies with DOL guidelines, OFCCP regulations, Job Corps notices and bulletins, and center policies and procedures.
- Maintains good housekeeping in all areas and complies with safety practices.
- Models, mentors, monitors appropriate Career Success Standards.
- Participation in PRH mandated staff training is mandatory. Failure to participate may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Power Point, Outlook, and Excel.Computer literacy with basic computer functions, email, internet, and basic programs such as Adobe Acrobat.High level of communication, interpersonal skills, and organizational skills.High level of ability to motivate, inspire, and educate students effectively.Experience
Two years' experience in education or related field.
Education
Bachelor's degree in education from a four-year college or university and / or equivalent combination of education and experience.
