Overview
Lead Nuclear Medicine Tech at Medical City Alliance (Medical City Healthcare). Full Time, Mon-Fri 7 : 30 am to 4 pm with call. A sign-on bonus of up to $10,000 may be available for qualified candidates.
Responsibilities
- Conduct organ or body scans with radioactive isotopes to provide diagnostic aid to physicians.
- Prepare radioactive isotopes for administration to patients as ordered.
- Position patients and adjust immobilization devices; explain procedures to patients and address concerns.
- Administer and record isotope dosages; perform diagnostic studies using scanners or scintillation cameras to produce images.
- Administer therapeutic doses of radiopharmaceuticals under physician direction.
- Maintain and calibrate equipment; monitor, record, and communicate via computerized documentation systems.
- Apply age-specific needs in performance of duties; assist with transporting patients.
- Orient and mentor new staff; follow radiation safety and standard precautions.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and customer service; work with minimal supervision; make independent decisions with tact and maturity.
- Lead responsibilities include creating work schedules, assisting with budget and financial needs, evaluating NM personnel, assessing service / technical needs, developing policies / procedures, and training other technologists.
Position Qualifications
Education / Skills
Associate Degree; technical or vocational training.
Experience
Prefer at least 1 year of Nuclear Medicine experience.
Licenses / Certifications
ARRT(N) or CNMT, MRT, and BLS required.
