Overview

Lead Nuclear Medicine Tech at Medical City Alliance (Medical City Healthcare). Full Time, Mon-Fri 7 : 30 am to 4 pm with call. A sign-on bonus of up to $10,000 may be available for qualified candidates.

Responsibilities

Conduct organ or body scans with radioactive isotopes to provide diagnostic aid to physicians.
Prepare radioactive isotopes for administration to patients as ordered.
Position patients and adjust immobilization devices; explain procedures to patients and address concerns.
Administer and record isotope dosages; perform diagnostic studies using scanners or scintillation cameras to produce images.
Administer therapeutic doses of radiopharmaceuticals under physician direction.
Maintain and calibrate equipment; monitor, record, and communicate via computerized documentation systems.
Apply age-specific needs in performance of duties; assist with transporting patients.
Orient and mentor new staff; follow radiation safety and standard precautions.
Demonstrate excellent communication and customer service; work with minimal supervision; make independent decisions with tact and maturity.
Lead responsibilities include creating work schedules, assisting with budget and financial needs, evaluating NM personnel, assessing service / technical needs, developing policies / procedures, and training other technologists.

Position Qualifications

Education / Skills

Associate Degree; technical or vocational training.

Experience

Prefer at least 1 year of Nuclear Medicine experience.

Licenses / Certifications

ARRT(N) or CNMT, MRT, and BLS required.
