Key Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate, age-appropriate care to pediatric patients, including assessments, vitals, medication administration, and vaccinations.
  • Prepare and administer vaccines in compliance with state and clinic protocols, provide Vaccine Information Statements (VIS), and educate parents on side effects and after-care.
  • Verify and maintain accurate immunization records using NESIIS and clinic systems.
  • Assist providers during exams, treatments, and minor procedures.
  • Perform routine lab work, order radiology and lab studies, and coordinate follow-up.
  • Document all patient encounters, treatments, and communications with accuracy and professionalism.
  • Educate parents and caregivers on pediatric wellness, medication instructions, and care plans.
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and infection control standards.
  • Collaborate with the care team to ensure a safe, welcoming, and efficient clinic environment.
  • Qualifications

  • Current Nebraska license as an LPN or certification as a CMA (Certified Medical Assistant)(must be included with resume).
  • Pediatric or clinical experience preferred but not required.
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Please note : Only Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) or Certified Medical Assistants (CMA) will be considered. CNA and Medication Aide certifications do not meet this requirement.
