Key Responsibilities
Provide compassionate, age-appropriate care to pediatric patients, including assessments, vitals, medication administration, and vaccinations.Prepare and administer vaccines in compliance with state and clinic protocols, provide Vaccine Information Statements (VIS), and educate parents on side effects and after-care.Verify and maintain accurate immunization records using NESIIS and clinic systems.Assist providers during exams, treatments, and minor procedures.Perform routine lab work, order radiology and lab studies, and coordinate follow-up.Document all patient encounters, treatments, and communications with accuracy and professionalism.Educate parents and caregivers on pediatric wellness, medication instructions, and care plans.Maintain compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and infection control standards.Collaborate with the care team to ensure a safe, welcoming, and efficient clinic environment.Qualifications
Current Nebraska license as an LPN or certification as a CMA (Certified Medical Assistant)(must be included with resume).Pediatric or clinical experience preferred but not required.CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).Strong communication and teamwork skills.Please note : Only Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) or Certified Medical Assistants (CMA) will be considered. CNA and Medication Aide certifications do not meet this requirement.
