What You’ll Do
We’re seeking a Senior Copywriter to lead the development of brand voice, campaign-level messaging, and creative concepts for a portfolio of clients. This role delivers high-profile copywriting and ensures consistency, quality, and authenticity across all deliverables. The Senior Copywriter collaborates with cross-functional teams, mentors junior writers, and serves as a key voice in shaping brand storytelling and campaign strategy.
Our office is located in midtown Manhattan, with a hybrid schedule.
Sample Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Creative Director to craft brand storytelling, campaign messaging, and creative concepts.
- Create high-profile brand copy, such as mission statements, taglines, social media messaging and seasonal rebrands.
- Generate and refine creative concepts, balancing innovative ideas with brand standards.
- Develop and implement brand voice and tone, maintaining consistency across campaigns.
- Partner with designers and art directors to bring ideas to life, ensuring visual and written elements align seamlessly.
- Conduct and participate in internal creative reviews, focusing on overall messaging in addition to grammar and proofreading.
- Present concepts and copy internally and to clients, effectively articulating ideas and strategy.
- Mentor and support junior copywriters, fostering their growth and skill development.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining organized workflows and meeting deadlines.
- Actively participate in kick-offs, brainstorms, and client meetings, taking ownership of the copywriting components.
Requirements
5–8+ years of creative copywriting experience, ideally in entertainment or agency environments.Deep knowledge of the Broadway space and a proven track record in theatrical or live event marketing.A strong portfolio of promotional or advertising copy—in theater, live events, or adjacent industries.Exceptional storytelling ability with the skill to balance bold creative ideas and commercial effectiveness.Proven experience mentoring junior copywriters.Fluency across digital, video, social, and experiential channels; familiarity with emerging tools and trends (including AI) is a plus.Comfortable managing multiple accounts while maintaining high creative standards.Benefits
