What you´ll do

This position is responsible for the implementation of project work to enhance Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and applications.

The Data Analysis Engineer is responsible for trouble shooting complex systems-based issues in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

As the Manufacturing Engineering Team works on process improvement projects, the Data Analysis Engineer will play an active and critical role by providing data and insights to help achieve the greatest positive impact.

Leverage data and technology to improve organizational efficiency

Identify improvement opportunities through analysis of factory operational data

Responsible for analyzing and summarizing existing process needs, establishing future data models, and working cooperatively with external resources to develop data informed solutions

Identify and implement solutions for short- and long-term systems issues through solid root cause analysis

Identify opportunities for digitization and / or automation

Acts as a subject matter expert for the discernment of systems and automation project feasibility

Responsible for the execution of MES project deployment

Acts as the local factory’s primary contact with Henkel IT and third part resources

Develops and conducts training to all levels of MES users

Works closely and collaboratively with factory engineers to support daily operations and improvement projects

Ensures the security of operational systems and data

  • Collects and analyzes data; able to use statistical tools to validate data findings
  • Responds well to questions; able to clearly articulate thinking; can present in front of a team
  • Able to create documents, e.g. project summaries, process instructions, training materials, etc., that are clear and effective
  • Ability to work with teams and work through conflict in a professional manner
  • Proficient with Microsoft products, e.g., Excel, Power BI, etc.
  • Can demonstrate Problem Solving and Project Management skillset
  • Experience in manufacturing environments
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams, at all levels
  • Ability to plan, manage, and execute complex project activities to a successful conclusion while demonstrating a strong work ethic experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in : Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Technology, or similar
  • Experience with SAP, MES / DCS / PLC or SCADA systems

VBA and / or Python coding knowledge (VBA preferred)

The salary for this role is $70,000.00 - $93,000.00. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position.  We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
