The Direct Support Professional (DSP) Day Hours- Full-time / Every other weekend REQUIRED

Compensation for a Direct Support Professional ranges from $19.20-$21.06 / hr- THERE IS AN ADDITIONAL DIFFERENTIAL OF $3.00 PER HOUR FOR WORKING THE LANCER LOCATION plus an additional $1.00 per hour on the weekends.    Base Wage for Direct Care : $16.20 / hr.

Job Summary :

The Direct Support Professional (DSP)  supports individuals who experience developmental disabilities or related conditions. Serving as an advocate for these individuals, the most important skill needed is a strong sense of empathy and the ability to connect and relate to people of all abilities. A DSP will be caring, supportive and empowering.

Qualifications & Skills :

Required :

Experience working in a collaborative team environment

• Ability to be an active listener with sensitivity to developmental disability issues
• Demonstrate respect to all individuals across the organization
• Complete integrity, honesty, and confidentiality
• Basic computer and math skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Hold a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record, depending on location.

Preferred :

Previous experience providing direct care to individuals with developmental disabilities.
