Primary Skills :

  • Experience in development of automation in semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Working proficiency using Visual Studio, C#, .Net, databases, and SQL.
  • Knowledge of SECS / GEM protocol and SEMI automation standards.
  • Experience working in MES, Recipe Management (RMS), and Advanced Process Control (APC).
  • Experience with enterprise automation software running on Windows or Unix platforms with Oracle database.

The pay range for this role is $75,000 - $105,000 per annum including any bonuses or variable pay. The exact offer terms will depend on the skill level, educational qualifications, experience, and location of the candidate.

Job Description :

Applied Materials GIS Automation Products Group is hiring an application engineer to support product development, customer deployment, and services for Applied SmartFactory and SmartFactory Rx automation products and solutions in the areas of manufacturing execution, factory performance, equipment performance, and advanced process control. Additionally, the candidate will drive continuous improvement, help improve knowledge base management, and seek opportunities to build organizational efficiencies using technology, AI, machine learning, automation, and optimization.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Working proficiency using Visual Studio, C#, .Net, databases, and SQL.
  • Familiar with SECS / GEM protocol and SEMI automation standards.
  • Experience working in semiconductor, Solar, Display, or PCB manufacturing as an equipment automation developer.
  • Implement Equipment Automation (EA) solutions integrated with other key factory and business systems for our customers.
  • Work with the product development team to develop new solutions and products to address market demands.
  • Coordinate with customer's systems administration and IT teams on deploying, configuring, developing, and deploying EA solutions.
  • Present technical information to customers including technical contributors and managers.
  • Create, evolve, and implement EA application training and / or demonstrations.
  • Project management tasks in accordance with APG standard PM lifecycle.
  • Perform software installations at customer locations.
  • Knowledge base contribution / management.
  • Respond to customer requests for proposal (RFP) and requirements collection.
  • Develop and deliver statements of work (SOW) and cost estimates for projects.
  • Improve operations through continuous improvement standards such as : 8D, Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5-Whys.

    • Key Skills And Experience :

  • Experience working in semiconductor, Solar, Display, or PCB manufacturing as an equipment automation developer.
  • Familiar with SECS / GEM protocol and SEMI automation standards.
  • Experience working with other factory automation and business systems such as MES, Recipe Management (RMS), and Advanced Process Control (APC).
  • Working proficiency using Visual Studio, C#, .Net, databases, and SQL.
  • Experience explaining technical and business concepts to senior management and managing diverse requirements among multiple stakeholders.

    • Qualifications :

  • BS or MS degree in engineering field.
  • Experience in factory operations.
