Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement sophisticated technical solutions, leading high-stakes projects with precision and expertise.
  • Conduct thorough site assessments, project scoping, and planning to ensure technical and operational excellence.
  • Serve as a technical leader within the team, offering guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
  • Manage client relationships effectively, ensuring clear communication and satisfaction with project outcomes.
  • Lead the evaluation and integration of new technologies and practices, maintaining AppNet's edge in competitive technical advancements.
  • Lead safety initiatives at job sites, ensuring that all operations are conducted with the highest regard for safety.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities

  • Continuously update knowledge of industry trends, technologies, and best practices to improve service delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and standards, including NC Alarm System License Registrant requirements.
  • Collaborate with other departments to align technical solutions with broader organizational goals.
  • Manage and document all project deliverables and timelines to ensure consistency and quality in service delivery.
  • Licensing and Compliance Requirements

    Active participation in obtaining a NC Alarm System License Registrant is required. Management of the licensure process will be overseen to ensure all legal and regulatory requirements are met.

  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

  • Extensive knowledge of fiber optic technology, telecommunications systems, and complex cable pathways.
  • Excellent project management skills, capable of leading multiple high-stakes projects simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, essential for managing client relationships and mentoring team members.
  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing technologies and environments.
  • Comprehensive understanding of NFPA 70 and NFPA 72 code requirements as they apply to low-voltage and fire alarm systems.
  • Familiarity with electrical safety standards and ability to interpret complex technical documentation.
  • Knowledge of general building codes and local regulations impacting field service operations.
  • Experience bending and running conduit, using digital multi-meters, and splicing.
  • Ability to work in small spaces, at varying heights, and lift equipment up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to safely work on ladders for extended periods and comply with safety standards.
  • Able to operate aerial boom lifts (3B) and scissor lifts (3A) safely and proficiently.
  • Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; advanced technical training or certification highly regarded.
  • Advanced technical certifications in relevant fields are highly preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience in technical roles with significant project management and leadership responsibilities.
