Business Development Manager
The Business Development Manager will provide business and client support to the firm's Insurance Transactional + Regulatory Practice Group.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement strategies to cultivate business with current and prospective clients.
- Craft and maintain high quality, tailored pitch materials and responses to RFPs with meaningful ideas and creativity to shape strategic pursuits.
- Identify and execute cross-selling opportunities.
- Collaborate with the Business Development Director and practice group leadership to develop and oversee annual business plan and practice group budget.
- Demonstrate professional presence and attend all practice group and leadership team meetings to provide business development updates.
- Conduct client, prospect, industry, competitor and market analysis to inform targeted business development efforts.
- Oversee compilation of practice group directory and award submissions for publications such as Chambers.
- Collect matter data for inclusion in the firm's experience database.
- Develop systems to help track progress on practice groups priorities.
- Assist with the coordination of practice group events, sponsorships, advertisements and speaking engagements.
- Collaborate with attorneys to develop individual practice plans and support key initiatives.
- Collaborate with the firm's communications team to effectively promote the successes of the practices, including identifying media, publishing and speaking opportunities that align with the profile-raising objectives of the practices.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
Knowledge in developing pitches and proposals.Knowledge in developing and delivering engaging presentations, particularly using PowerPoint.Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and persuasively.Strong project and process management experience.Analytical skills to interpret data and trends, informing strategic business development efforts.Sound business judgment and decision-making capabilities.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Highly motivated, persuasive, priority-driven, and collaborative, with a strong ability to build and maintain relationships.Adaptability and flexibility to adjust strategies in a dynamic business environment.Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and perform well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.Education and / or Experience :
Bachelor's degree or any combination of training, education, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.Minimum five (5) years of marketing experience in a law firm setting.Minimum two (2) years of leadership experience with direct reports.Experience working with an Insurance group preferred.The Firm will comply with any applicable city or state workplace mandates in effect in regards to Covid-19. Hiring Salary Range : $150,000.00 - $170,000.00
