  • The purpose of a unit profile is to provide an exceptional screenshot of the unit.
  • Profiles should include unique details to assist recruiting professional in effectively and efficiently identifying highly qualified staff.

    • Job Requirements

  • Must have cardiac experience, strong critical care experience.
  • Advanced skills needed : PA catheter and hemodynamic monitoring; IABP; Impella; CRRT preferred.
  • Procedures performed on unit : Central line insertion, swan insertion; intubations.

    • Schedule Information

  • 4 week schedules (3-4 weekend shifts required per scheduling period).
  • Floating policy : Float as needed to units where needed depending on unit census.

  • Patient Ratios : 2 : 1
  • Student nurse externs available as techs

  • Dress Code : Scrubs (galaxy blue, red, black); scrub jackets or vests only

  • Growing cardiogenic shock program with providers specializing in specific patient population
  • 12 beds allotted to cardiogenic shock patients
