Overview
Epitec is seeking an experienced Calibration Engineer to join our automotive client's team. The candidate will play a pivotal role in developing and applying physics-based and data-driven system models to support calibration use cases in software-in-the-loop (SIL) and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) environments.
Responsibilities
- Develop and apply system-level models (mechanical, electrical, thermal) for calibration in SIL / HIL environments.
- Validate models through testing, verification, and correlation.
- Collaborate with integration, design, and test engineers to meet interface and data requirements.
- Transfer research models into production programs.
- Standardize and automate modeling processes for robustness.
- Document and present technical findings.
Top Qualifications
RequiredBS in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field.
Experience in propulsion systems development and calibration.Proficiency in 1D simulation tools (e.g., Dymola, Simulink, GT-Suite, Amesim).Excellent communication and presentation abilities.Knowledge of EV / HEV / ICE systems, thermal management simulation, machine learning for reduced-order modeling, version control (GitHub), and GPDS familiarity.Seniority level
