Operations Manager (Contract)

Location : Norwalk, CA (On-site)
Pay Rate : $62-72 per hour (based on experience)
LHH is seeking a Director of Operations to oversee all aspects of operational performance across manufacturing, supply chain, production, and field operations. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring operational excellence, safety, quality, and efficiency in delivering high-value solutions to customers. The Director of Operations will be a key member of the leadership team, driving process improvements, scaling the business, and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities :
- Operational Leadership : Direct daily operations including production, assembly, logistics, quality, and field service teams to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
- Strategic Execution : Collaborate with the CEO and leadership team to develop and implement operational strategies that align with growth objectives and customer commitments.
- Performance Management : Establish and monitor KPIs for productivity, efficiency, safety, and quality; lead regular performance reviews and drive process improvements.
- Continuous Improvement : Champion Lean Manufacturing and process optimization initiatives to enhance workflow, reduce waste, and improve output quality.
- Team Leadership : Manage and mentor operations managers, supervisors, and technical leads to build a high-performance, collaborative culture.
- Resource Planning : Oversee capacity planning, production scheduling, and workforce allocation to meet customer demand and project timelines.
- Safety & Compliance : Ensure full compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements; promote a culture of safety excellence.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work closely with Engineering, Sales, and Finance teams to ensure seamless coordination from order entry through project delivery.
- Vendor & Supply Chain Management : Lead vendor negotiations and strategic sourcing to ensure material availability and cost effectiveness.
- Budget & Cost Control : Develop and manage departmental budgets; track and control operational costs to achieve financial targets.
- Systems & Reporting : Oversee operational reporting and analytics using NetSuite ERP to drive data-driven decision-making and operational transparency.
Qualifications :
Proven experience in operations leadership within manufacturing, supply chain, or related industries.Strong background in Lean Manufacturing, process improvement, and team development.Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional teams and complex projects.Experience with NetSuite ERP or similar enterprise resource planning systems.Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.Bilingual Spanish highlight preferredEqual Opportunity Employer / Veterans / Disabled
