As a Entry Level Staff Engineer , you will join our Transportation and Traffic Design Team in our Shelton, CT office, where you'll play a key role in delivering vital infrastructure projects across the Northeast. With nearly 50 professionals, we work on projects that shape the future of transportation across the Northeast, collaborating with state DOTs, municipalities, and private clients to make travel safer and more accessible. Whether it's designing roads, bridges, or multimodal systems, we ensure our designs are sustainable, cost-effective, and forward-thinking.

Responsibilities, Requirements, and Total Rewards

What You'll Be Doing

As a valuable part of our Transportation and Traffic Design Team , an Entry Level Staff Engineer will support a variety of projects and gain hands-on experience with responsibilities such as :

• Perform traffic analysis and modeling using tools such as Synchro and SimTraffic
• Assist in the development of traffic signal timing plans and intersection improvement concepts
• Support the preparation of traffic engineering plans, cost estimates, and design documentation
• Review and analyzing traffic data including volumes, crash history, and speed studies
• Help draft technical memoranda, traffic studies, and feasibility reports for state and municipal clients
• Assist with permit documentation such as CTDOT encroachment permits and Traffic Management Plans
• Participate in field investigations and site visits to observe traffic operations and gather project data
• Collaborate with roadway, drainage, structural, and environmental teams to support integrated designs
