Entry-Level Logistics Associate

PrideStaff is seeking an Entry-Level Logistics Associate (Level 1) supporting day-to-day brokerage operations : tendering / entry, tracking freight, coordinating with carriers and warehouses, and keeping customers informed. You'll follow clear SOPs, use our systems, and learn standards that position you for eventual Level 2 responsibilities.

Employment Type : Seasonal Start ASAP through March 1, 2026 (possible extension / convert)

Location : Charlotte, NC 28277

Schedule : MonFri, 9 : 00 AM4 : 30 PM (30-min lunch) 3540 hrs / week with flexibility as needed

Pay Rate : $21.00$22.00 / hr (OT 1.5 after 40 hrs, pre-approved)

What You'll Do

  • Track & Trace : Proactively monitor shipments; provide timely, accurate ETAs and status updates.
  • Customer Support : Handle calls / emails; document issues; present solution options professionally.
  • Docs & Data : Create / collect BOLs, rate confirmations, PODs; maintain clean, timely TMS / WMS notes.
  • Entry-Level Planning & Dispatch : Enter loads; schedule pickups / deliveries; manage dock appointments.
  • Carrier Coordination : Confirm capacity / rates; verify safety / insurance as directed.
  • Exception Handling : Assist with accessorials, reweigh / reclass notes, OS&D triage, and claims pre-work.
  • Team Play : Coordinate smooth handoffs with our CA operations and other offices.

What You'll Learn

  • Brokerage workflows, order / shipment management, and margin visibility basics
  • LTL / TL / intermodal fundamentals; appointment setting; update-cadence standards
  • Documentation quality (clean BOL / POD trails) and KPI habits (OTD, tender acceptance, data accuracy)
  • Qualifications (Level 1 Required)

  • 02 years in logistics, warehousing, transportation, or customer service (internships welcome)
  • Clear communicator; organized, dependable, calm under time pressure; critical thinker and problem solver
  • Comfort with Excel / Google Sheets, Word, and PDFs; eagerness to learn TMS / WMS tools
  • On-site availability MonFri, 9 : 004 : 30, 3540 hrs / week through Mar 1, 2026 (flexible when needed)
  • Authorization to work in the U.S.; background / reference checks via agency
  • Nice-to-Have (Not Required)

  • LTL basics; NMFC / accessorial familiarity; DAT / Truckstop exposure
  • Prior brokerage / TMS experience (load entry, tracking, documentation)
  • Success Measures

  • On-time pickup / delivery (OTD)
  • Update cadence per SOP during transit
  • Clean, complete documentation in TMS / WMS
  • Professional communication with customers, carriers, and internal teams
  • Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to) : $21.00 - $22.00 Per Hour
