With one in 36 children diagnosed with autism, this entry-level job is in big demand. As a Behavior Technician at BCI, you'll help children with autism learn, grow, and build communication, socialization, and self-help skills through a form of play-based therapy known as applied behavior analysis (ABA).
BCI has provided evidence-based, contemporary ABA therapy for over 20 years to help children and young adults with autism find success.

- Learn about autism, learning differences, and ABA; apply ABA-based strategies in therapy sessions.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education : High School Diploma or GEDAge : Minimum 18 years (on or before the first day of employment)Eligibility to work in the United StatesTransportation : Reliable transportation; valid driver's license and personal vehicle preferredSchedule : Availability to work a consistent weekly schedule mornings, afternoons, and / or eveningsBackground check : Ability to pass a background checkPhysical : Ability to engage in activities that may involve pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 35 pounds; ability to sit on the floor, stoop, stand, walk, and run as neededPreferred : Bilingual (English / Spanish) and / or experience in psychology, education, special education, childcare, behavioral health, or related fieldsExperience with children (e.g., babysitter, nanny, tutor, teacher, coach, camp counselor, or other childcare roles) is helpfulBenefits & Growth
Starting pay up to $23 / hr with experiencePotential to earn the RBT certificationOpportunity for promotion after gaining ABA experience (e.g., within about three months)Full-time : up to 15 days of PTO after 90 days; Part-time : eligibility for sick leaveAdditional information
Working with kids aged 1.5 to 18+, primarily 2-8 years old, in home or center settings.
Physical requirements vary by client assignment. You may be required to engage in activities that involve movement and lifting as described above.
