Travel RN – Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVIC)

Fort Wayne, IN

Shift : Nights, 5 : 00 PM – 5 : 00 AM, every other weekend

Requirements :

2 years of recent CVICU RN experience

Certifications : BLS, ACLS (AHA or ARC accepted)

Scope of Role :

Rotates between ICU and step-down

Care for critically ill cardiothoracic and vascular patients

Manage invasive line monitoring, central lines, ventilators, chest tubes, vasoactive drips, and bedside procedures

Required Skills :

Proficiency with chest tubes and central lines

Strong background in the care of complex CVICU patients

Unit Details :

42 beds (22 ICU, 20 Step-Down)

Patient Ratios :

ICU : 1 : 1, 2 : 1, or 3 : 1 depending on acuity / staffing

Step-Down : 4 : 1 to 5 : 1

Floating required to other ICUs

EMR : Cerner
