Responsibilities Work in a short-term acute care hospital within the nuclear medicine department Adult and nuclear cardiology patient population Duties include gastric emptying, HIUDA Scan, Muga Scan, 3 Phase, whole body bone scan, liver imaging, perfusion, ventilation / perfusion, exercise / rest-multiple, pharmacological stress, and isolation precautions Start and maintain peripheral IVs and handle radioactive materials Day shift schedule with 4x10 hour shifts from 5 : 00 AM to 3 : 30 PM and a consistent weekly day off Floating required within the hospital and to affiliated hospitals as needed No weekend shifts required; on-call requirements to be discussed Uses Cerner for charting and documentation Candidates must be willing and able to multitask and work collaboratively as part of a team All candidates will be required to float between units and to nearby affiliated hospitals as necessary First-time travelers are welcome to apply Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays during the assignment Local candidates are accepted Free parking is provided Any permanent or PRN employees must have a 12-month separation before returning as a traveler Dress code is professional nuclear medicine attire as per hospital policy Requirements Minimum 2 years recent experience in adult and nuclear cardiology settings required Active IN state license, CNMT or NMTCB certification, and BLS required and must be in hand at submission Graduation from a university accredited by ACEN or CCNE Must be able to start and maintain peripheral IVs and safely store, handle, and dispose of radioactive materials Experience with Cerner EMR preferred AHA or RQI BLS certifications accepted License required if applicable Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-622284.
