Senior Water Engineer

WSB is seeking a Water Engineer with at least 10 years of experience in project engineering, planning, designing, and construction of drinking water systems to join our team. You will contribute to the company, our clients, and their constituents by delivering on the following :

Responsibilities

• Provide project engineering and design of new water treatment facilities, groundwater wells, water storage facilities, pumping stations, and water distribution systems.
• Conduct business development and develop client relationships in drinking water markets.
• Prepare comprehensive water system plans and water studies.
• Review existing water treatment facilities, prepare reports for proposed equipment / systems upgrades and replacements, and present findings to clients and regulatory agencies.
• Independently evaluate, select, and apply various water treatment technologies, equipment, and processes to optimize performance or ensure compliance with environmental regulations, and apply results to water treatment plant configurations.
• Develop specifications and drawings such as process flow diagrams (PFDs) and process & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) for senior drafting technicians.
• Assess impact of changing EPA and MDH regulations for specific client needs.
• Travel to client and vendor locations for design reviews, field verification of designs, proposal presentations, and other business development activities.
• Design and renovate lift stations, review existing wastewater treatment facilities, help prepare sewer system plans.
