Carle Health is seeking an additional  BE / BC General Surgeon  to join our established Surgery Department in Urbana, Illinois.

Opportunity Details

• Candidates must have completed training at an ACGME-accredited General Surgery residency program
• Join a busy, ready-made practice with other BC surgeons
• Excellent call schedule; weekend rotation will be 1 : 12 and weekday evening rotation will be 1 : 6 (Mon-Fri 8-5 covered by ACS team) when fully staffed
• Call expectations are exclusive to Carle Foundation Hospital
• Practice will be based at our modern clinic, with surgeries performed in state-of-the-art outpatient and hospital-based operating rooms at Carle Foundation Hospital, a 489-bed Level I Trauma Center
• Opportunity for academic and / or research affiliation with the Carle Illinois College of Medicine, the nation’s first medical school focused at the intersection of healthcare and engineering
• Opportunity to teach residents through our ACGME-accredited General Surgery residency program at Carle Foundation Hospital and medical students through the Carle Illinois College of Medicine

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this position is $475,000 - $500,000. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
