Security Professional - Retail Patrol

As a Security Professional - Retail Patrol in Sacramento, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail / Malls, and more.

As a Part-Time Security Officer, you'll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and Pick up open shifts based on your availabilitygiving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail and mall locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. You will interact with the public, provide outstanding customer service, and communicate clearly with visitors and staff. Pay Rate : $18.75 / Hour

Job Schedule : DayTime

Monday 05 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

Tuesday 05 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

Friday 05 : 00 PM - 11 : 00 PM

Saturday 05 : 00 PM - 11 : 00 PM

Sunday 05 : 00 PM - 11 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and / or suspicious behavior.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns within the retail or mall environment.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal management as needed.
  • Follow all post orders and instructions specific to the retail or mall location.
  • Assist with access control and / or crowd management as required by site policies.
  • Support emergency response efforts in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A valid security-related guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
