Starting Salary Range : AJCR $1,208-$1,344 per credit hour and in accordance with the adjunct table and determined based on relevant years of work experience provided on application and resume.

  • Position Summary

    Johnson County Community College is looking to fill an adjunct teaching position in the Department of Photography, Film, and Media Studies. JCCC is searching for a diverse pool of applicants for an adjunct studio teaching position that will support the Photography program through courses in analog, digital, and experimental photography. The program emphasizes conceptual development alongside technical skills and encourages experimentation and cross-disciplinary work. We educate a large, diverse student body. Many of our 18,000 students are non-traditional, military veterans, immigrants, international, and first-generation college students. African-American, Asian-American, and Hispanic student populations are also growing. JCCC is committed to increasing the diversity of our college community.

    Required Qualifications

  • MFA in Photography, New Media, or directly related field is required
  • Qualified candidate will have the ability to teach concept forward studio projects in analog and digital photography
  • Previous teaching experience in higher education is preferred
  • To be considered for this position we will require an application, resume, cover letter, unofficial transcripts, and 20 samples of creative work, and 20 samples of students\' creative work in single PDF and link to online portfolio.

  • Unofficial transcripts are required for all Adjunct faculty and Faculty positions.
